Erdem Moralioglu's collection in London, on Monday 21st February. Autumn/Winter Show 2011.
Is it just me, or does this dress (and possibly it's the model) remind anyone else of Christina Hendricks from Mad Men? The fiery red, knee length dress, fitted, focused on her décolletage...
Anyway... From quite a dark collection from Erdem Moralioglu, this is one of my favourite pieces. I love the skirt to this dress. From the photograph it looks like velvet, catching the light from all different angles, and showing off every colour printed into the abstract design. If music could me made from a mash up of flowers, it would end up looking something like the bottom of this garment.
There was quite a 'splattered-paint' theme running through this collection. Abstract colours in an array of still beautiful designs. I can see the likes of Kristen Stewart going for something like this come Fall. A mix of practical wear and red carpet goodness, dipped in watercolour and placed neatly onto a manikin.
