Paul Smith A/W 2011

Paul Smith Autimn/Winter Show 2011 - LONDON. Some of my favourite pieces.

Simple design and smart cuts, understated chic.
Tailoring is key with this collection. Trench coats in all colours and bringing back tapered trousers from this autumn/winter just passed. Layering tailored trenches, over a tailored blazer, over tailored pants, and softened with a cotton shirt. Finished with patent flat brogues, doesn't it just sing 'English'?

Casual, light, cashmere knits. Following through with a stem from S/S with the lime green belt. The tapered trouser a staple piece, and brogues in patent cream.

S/S's slight college theme is still attached to the runway. Is the phenomenon of Glee still infiltrating the designs? Very school girl-esque, Puckerman would love it.

And finally the man himself. Famous for this pinstripe multi-colours, in everything down to underwear. These final silk printed dresses are a statement to his elegance in design and caress their models with femininity. Such simple shapes, which work to WOW their audience with no explanation.
