Silvia Venturini Fendi showcased her new collection yesterday, along with inspirational partner Karl Lagerfeld. It looks stunning. So sleek and feminine, the colours are gorgeous, toned down and yet yet rowdy enough to catch an eye or two in the street. There is, to me, also an element of the wild in this collection, although always tamed within the boundaries of a developed and theorized precept. The elegant ruffles of fabric on the collars of certain designs, and gatherings of threatening furs at the neck of other pieces. This show was a display of power. However the only danger which befell the spectators would be spending 6 months anticipating the release of such a beautiful compilation of style.
