Prada 2011

In Italy, fur once again (and faux once again) will be back come September. Remind anyone else of a sheepskin rug? Not that I'm disputing Miuccia Prada's genius in design. She seemed to also be taking some influence from Mondrian, although in some cases with a much more neutral palette.

It seems even after the colourful seventies vibes of this Spring and Summer, buyers will still be choosing between staying nude or splashing the colour. Maybe a combination of the two? Does that work? Maybe follow Prada's example shown above. Your eyes are drawn to the ground, well, to the shoes, but the pieces still make a statement as one. Is it a game of designing to suit a personality. Designers are using the image of one character for every different outfit.
This woman's Personal may read 'shy, but underneath, when you get to know her, she has flare'. I like this way of thinking; style for a single. Not literally as in a person with no relationships, but an individual, as we all are... let it be said for the thousandth time.
